Rida Klink (Augment): The path to smarter buildings

Rida Klink, CEO and founder of Augment, discusses how Wiretwin uses digital twins to centralize building data and streamline facility management across regions.

Can you provide a brief description of your company?

Augment builds tools that make it easier to manage buildings. Most facilities still rely on outdated or missing documentation—floorplans on paper, equipment data in spreadsheets, maintenance records scattered across emails. For that, we’ve created Wiretwin, a platform that brings all that information into one place. It uses a digital twin of the building to organize technical data, track and automate maintenance, and monitor equipment in real time. When plans don’t exist, we create them through scanning and modeling. The goal is to give facility and asset managers clear, reliable access to their building’s information so they can make faster, better decisions. We’re based in Luxembourg and work on projects across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa.

How are you adapting to the evolving expectations of your customers?

Most of our clients aren’t asking for cutting-edge technology—they’re asking for solutions to problems they’ve been dealing with for years: outdated plans, scattered information, and maintenance. These challenges aren’t new, but the tools to address them haven’t always been practical or affordable. What’s changed is that digital twin technology is now accessible enough to offer real value in day-to-day operations. We’re not pushing innovation for its own sake—we’re using what’s available today to fix the basics. Our work is less about keeping up with trends and more about catching buildings up to where they should be.

“We’re not pushing innovation for its own sake—we’re using what’s available today to fix the basics.”

How do you see your company evolving in the next 2 years?

In the next two years, we want to keep things simple: serve more customers, improve the product, and grow at a pace we can support. We’re currently working with facility managers in several countries and plan to expand in Europe and the Gulf region. On the product side, we’ll continue to add features that help customers avoid downtime, manage their teams better, and make sense of their data. Internally, we’ll grow our team, focusing on support, sales and development. Our goal is to become a reliable partner for people who want to run buildings more effectively, without overcomplicating things.
