Neuraspace: AI against space debris

This article outlines how the company’s AI-powered platform tackles space debris and traffic management challenges, and how Luxembourg’s ecosystem supports its mission for safer, more sustainable space operations.

Can you present your company in a few words?

Founded in 2020, Neuraspace is a European company working to make space safe, secure, and sustainable. We’ve built a scalable Space Domain Awareness platform that combines modular software architecture, data from ground and space sensors, proprietary AI/ML models, and automation to support better, faster decision-making. Our solutions now include five key products: (i) Launch Screening, (ii) Mission Design, (iii) Launch and Early Operations Tracking, (iv) Space Traffic Management (STM), and (v) Data and Tracking Services. We’re working to change the way space operations are done, with the intention of eventually finding ways to automate all the procedures that control satellite fleets. We aim to spread the word on the importance of fighting space debris, in collaboration with the scientific community and international space regulators.

How can Luxembourg’s ecosystem help you grow?

Luxembourg has one of the highest levels of space investment in Europe relative to GDP and offers strong support for companies working in AI and space technologies. Institutions like the Luxembourg Space Agency and Luxinnovation support research, development, and industry collaboration. Building on this supportive ecosystem, we see Luxembourg as a strategic location to grow our European presence. Through partnerships with national entities and access to innovation and talent support programs, we aim to make the most of the country’s dynamic environment. Our local office will focus on sustainability and actively seek energies with universities and research institutions. Hiring local talent is a priority for us, as we value Luxembourg’s expertise in the space and tech sectors. Combined with our diverse, international team and global client base, this expansion becomes even more relevant.

“Space traffic coordination is no longer optional – it becomes essential.”

How do you see your company evolving in the next 2 years?

To help make space safer, more sustainable, and more efficient for all its users. As Earth’s orbit becomes increasingly congested and contested, space traffic coordination is no longer optional – it becomes essential. Neuraspace is at the forefront of this transformation. Based on AI and Space Domain Awareness (SDA), we are developing innovative solutions that address two of today’s biggest challenges, the operational complexity of a saturated orbital environment and the growing need for satellite autonomy. Our goal is to support the economic viability of missions, ensure operational safety, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of space.
